Roger Bacon Cross Country faced a large field (including many DI teams!) on Saturday morning at the Lebanon Invitational.
Bryce Fletcher led the boys in a personal-best time of 18:23, the fastest 5K for a Spartan runner since 2017. Other boys earning season-best times included seniors Nathan Kowalski and Sam Bova, sophomores Elliott Nice, Kameron Griffin-Harris, Jesse Leo, Fritz Russell, and freshmen Isaac Namaky and Wes Mahan. The boys combined for a 16th place team finish out of 28 schools competing.
On the girls' side, junior Karis Stoxen led the way, with four lady Spartans earning season-best times: sophomores Avery Bowlin and Nola Shuman, and freshmen Megan Plas and Saffi Vaughn. The girls finished 21st as a team.
The Spartans return to competition next Saturday, September 6th at the Mason Invitational. Go Spartan runners!
