Last night was a special one for Roger Bacon Girls Soccer as we celebrated our amazing seniors on Senior Night! The JV squad kicked things off in style with a thrilling 3–2 win over Indian Hill. The scoring started with Greta Huber finding the back of the net off a great assist from Claire Stager. Vivian Majors kept the momentum rolling, stealing a goal kick and finishing it beautifully, and Luci Schildmeyer sealed the victory with a clutch goal assisted by Lenny Dunaway. The JV girls continue to dominate their competition and are right back at it tonight in a JV boys/girls doubleheader against Seven Hills!
A huge shoutout to our incredible seniors Alexis Stegeman, Sophia Carrahar, Aubrey Keuffer, and Lizzy Mumper! Thank you for everything you’ve poured into this team and program over the last four years. It has been an absolute honor watching you grow into outstanding players and leaders.
Varsity took on Indian Hill, the #2 team in the district, in a hard-fought battle that had fans on the edge of their seats! The girls executed their game plan with energy, grit, and determination. While the match ended in a tough 2–1 loss, Lizzy Mumper lit up the night with a stunning goal off a perfect assist from Gianna Bose.
The Spartans wrap up their regular season this Saturday against Wyoming and you won’t want to miss it. Then get ready, because we’ll be hosting a home playoff game on October 16th! Mark your calendars and come out to support your Lady Spartans as they make their postseason run!
