We’re Hiring at Roger Bacon High School!
Roger Bacon High School is seeking a knowledgeable, energetic, and student-centered professional to lead our Athletic Performance course. This year-long course is designed specifically for student-athletes and focuses on developing strength, speed, mobility, nutrition awareness, recovery strategies, and competitive readiness across all seasons.
Position Overview
The Athletic Performance Instructor will design and deliver a comprehensive performance-based curriculum for high school athletes. The course emphasizes proper training technique, injury prevention, accountability, and the habits necessary for long-term athletic success. This position works closely with the athletic department and coaching staff to support the holistic development of Roger Bacon student-athletes.
Primary Responsibilities
• Plan and instruct a year-long Athletic Performance curriculum for student-athletes (grades 10–12)• Lead structured in-season and off-season strength and conditioning programs• Teach proper lifting techniques, movement mechanics, and injury prevention strategies• Educate students on nutrition, hydration, recovery, and game-day preparation• Monitor student progress and adjust programming to meet individual and team needs• Maintain a safe, organized, and disciplined training environment• Collaborate with coaches, athletic trainers, and school administration• Reinforce accountability, leadership, and positive culture within the program
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, or related field (required)• Strength and conditioning certification preferred (CSCS, SCCC, USAW, or equivalent)• Experience training high school or collegiate athletes• Strong knowledge of strength training, speed development, mobility, and recovery• Ability to connect with and motivate student-athletes• Teaching license or willingness to pursue licensure (preferred)

Course Eligibility
This course is open to Roger Bacon student-athletes in grades 10–12 and is highly recommended for students participating in interscholastic athletics.
