ST. BERNARD, Ohio - Boys Basketball earned their first tournament victory since 2022 last night with a 59-53 win over Indian Hill. The Spartans played one of their best games of the year.
Roger Bacon came out hot in the first quarter and took a 15-7 lead, but the Braves would go into the half up 21-20. The Spartans started the second half with three straight 3 pointers to go on a 9-0 run and take a 29-20 lead, which they did not lose the rest of the game.
Christian Byrd scored a game high 21 points to lead the Spartans. Kyle Miller finished with 17, and Michael Noszka Jr. ended with 14.
Congratulations to Mike Noszka on his first tournament win at Roger Bacon! A special shoutout to the Boys Basketball Seniors who earned their first tournament win as well.
The Spartans face CHCA next Tuesday for a shot at a spot in the District Championship game. Tip-off is 6 PM at Monroe High School
