NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Roger Bacon Baseball finished their Nashville trip 1-3 after facing tough competition.
Game 1 - Spartans 5, Providence Christian Academy 3
The Spartans picked up the opening day W over PCA after a 4 run comeback in the top of the 6th that was capped off with Max DeFranco and Terrance Todd’s back-to-back home runs. Evan Otto earned the W in relief.
Game 2 - Spartans 5, Blackman 13
RB got out to a 2-0 lead with RBI singles from Bryan Yaecker and Max DeFranco before Blackman bounced back with 4 runs in the bototm of the first. After trailing 6-3, RB got two runs back with a 2RBI double from DeFranco. Blackman would hold the Spartans the rest of the way and score 7 unanswered runs
Game 3 - Spartans 0, Briarcrest 12
The Spartans were shutout by a very talented Briarcrest team and were only able to get one hit in the game.
Game 4 - Spartans 2, Riverdale 8
RB went up 1-0 in the 1st with hits by Bryan Yaecker and Ben Powers but could only scratch one more run the rest of the game. A terrible break would give Riverdale a big inning in the 6th and give the Warriors the 6 run win.
Up next - The Spartans host Wyoming at Ross Park on Wednesday. First pitch is set for 5 PM.
