CINCINNATI - Roger Bacon Softball earned a MASSIVE victory in the District Semifinals last night! For the first time since 2016, the Spartans defeated Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy to advance to the second district championship game in program history.

Offensively, the Spartans were led by Abby Weigand, who recorded two hits and an RBI, and Kylie Land, who also added two hits and an RBI. Erin Pare delivered a clutch double in the sixth inning to extend the Spartan lead.

Defensively, the Spartans came up with several highlight-reel plays. Addi Schwartz made a leaping catch at shortstop, while Sophia Sheppard secured the win with a game-saving diving catch in right field in the seventh inning.

Kendra Gee delivered another outstanding performance in the circle to earn the win for the Spartans.

Roger Bacon will compete for the district championship on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. at Xenia High School against Kenton Ridge. Come out and support the Spartans!
