ST. BERNARD - Roger Bacon Athletics is excited to welcome Ben Chandler to the Girls Golf coaching staff as an assistant coach.

A PGA Member and accomplished golf instructor, Chandler brings more than 15 years of coaching experience working with players of all ages and skill levels. His teaching approach combines a strong understanding of biomechanics with proven instructional methods to help golfers maximize their potential both on and off the course.

Chandler's golf journey began as a standout high school and collegiate player before graduating as Valedictorian of the Golf Academy of America in 2006. He later worked as a professional caddie at Sea Island Golf Club in Georgia, where he gained valuable experience learning from some of the game's most respected professionals, including Davis Love III and Brad Faxon. His competitive playing experience on the NGA Golf Tour, combined with years of education and mentorship, ultimately led him to a successful career in golf instruction.

Throughout his coaching career, Chandler has served as Director of Instruction at multiple facilities while leading both junior and adult golf programs. He has coached numerous high school and collegiate golfers, helping student-athletes continue their careers at institutions including the University of Cincinnati, Tennessee Tech, Purdue Northwest, Kentucky Wesleyan, Illinois Wesleyan, and several other collegiate programs.

In addition to his instructional work, Chandler owned and managed the Cincinnati Middle School League and served as head coach of the Nagel Middle School boys and girls golf teams from 2016-2024. During his tenure, his teams captured six city championships.

His accomplishments have earned recognition throughout the golf community, including being named the 2020 Southern Ohio PGA Associate of the Year, receiving the 2022 Southern Ohio PGA Youth Player Development Award and the 2024 Southern Ohio PGA Player Development Award, and earning Southern Ohio PGA Teacher of the Year nominations in both 2023 and 2024. Chandler also served as captain of the Southern Ohio PGA Junior Ohio Cup teams in 2023 and 2024 and won the 2023 Springfield Classic.

Chandler's dedication to player development, combined with his extensive coaching experience, makes him an outstanding addition to the Roger Bacon Girls Golf program.
