BOYS GOLF - The Roger Bacon Boys Golf team will compete for an MVC League Championship this Wednesday, September 2, at Glenview Golf Course.

The Spartans currently lead the MVC Championship by 12 strokes after winning the first day of the tournament in early August.

Blake Rohling earned medalist honors with a 73, while Allister Fike, Ty DuMont and CHCA's John Mitchell tied for runner-up with rounds of 74.

All five Roger Bacon golfers are currently in the top 11 of the individual standings. Jude Voss sits in 7th after shooting a 77, while Will McGraw is in 11th with an 82.

The Spartans enter Wednesday's championship round coming off an impressive 1st-place finish at the Tim Tilton Invitational. Roger Bacon shot a season-best 291 and won the tournament by 14 strokes over host La Salle High School.

Rohling also claimed the individual championship at the Tim Tilton Invitational, shooting an impressive 67 (-4) at The Mill.

Roger Bacon Boys Golf is looking for its first league championship since 1969. After finishing 6th at the OHSAA State Tournament last season, the Spartans have prepared for 2026 with a challenging schedule that has taken them across Ohio.

Roger Bacon tied for first at the Talawanda Invitational to begin the season, with Rohling taking the individual championship after rounds of 75 and 69. The Spartans also won the Teays Valley Invitational in Columbus after shooting a 295 at the Players Club at Foxfire. RB has competed in tournaments in Elyria, Granville, Springboro, Oxford, Mt. Vernon, and still have tournaments to play in Sandusky, and Beachwood, Ohio.

The Spartans will look to finish the job Wednesday at Glenview Golf Course and bring home an MVC League Championship.
